They understated the cost of a prepaid Thrifty car rental by 15 % (for a 12-day rental), which was the reason I chose them. Then Thrifty charged me that extra 15% ($132) and would not honor the Hotwire commitment.
What a SCAM! I rented a “hot deal” car with Hotwire and had to make a change to the reservation. They told me that they would put the funds in my Hotwire account and I could re-book a rental—but it had to be another “hot deal.” Fine, I selected a car and went through the checkout process.
