(a) “Business day” means that part of any day on which an institution is open to the public for carrying on substantially all its banking functions, trust functions, or transactions.
(1) “Business days” means Monday through Friday, excluding the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. However, the definition of what actually constitutes a business day can mean something quite different from country to country and from one industry to another.
