A superb package, although real fans will want the American DVD release that also includes the original cut of the film.

Making its Blu-ray debut, E.T. marks its 30th anniversary with a 2-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo edition including digital and UltraViolet copies of the film. The new edition features a gorgeous hi-def transfer that goes back to the original 1982 film, eschewing the digital tinkering of the 20th anniversary special edition from 2002 (see below).
