17 wrz 2022 · An update for Win. 11 was recently applied to my laptop and shortly after I noticed that the icon on my Windows desktop were arranged with large spacing between each icon. I tried to arrange them properly manually without success.
1 kwi 2023 · You can restore missing desktop icons by opening the Desktop Icon Settings window and activating desktop icons like Computer and Recycle Bin. If all your desktop icons are missing, right-click your desktop and select View > Show Desktop Icons.
5 sie 2023 · The desktop icon spacing may sometimes be messed up after installing a video driver update. In some cases, the vertical spacing may be fine, but the horizontal spacing may be messed up (e.g., showing a rectangle) or vice versa. Desktop icons became rectangle due to wrong icon metrics.
15 mar 2024 · This has been answered for Windows 10, and should still work in Windows 11: Press WinE to open Explorer. In the Location edit, enter shell:AppsFolder. Right-click on Calculator and select Create shortcut. Choose to have it placed on the Desktop. Voila! the shortcut has the correct icon.
