During the public execution, Kaidou challenges Oden that if he and the Scabbards can survive the boiling pot for one hour, they can be freed. Oden jumps in the pot and carries the Scabbards on a plank so that they are technically "in the pot", thus saving their lives.
This is hands down my favorite arc in the entire series. I'm combining all of them into one arc because they are all connected. The story throughout it was just amazing. So many amazing moments happened in this arc. Aokiji's introduction was funny but had some weight to it as well.
I would suggest waiting till Wano arc's animation is done and then binge watching it. I find it very boring and slow watching 1 character lift their arm for 20 minutes. Reply reply
Oda has managed to out do himself multiples times throughout 2021! Now Wano has been going on for over a 120 chapters and it seems where slowly but surely approaching the end. When Wano is said and done will it be the best arc in all of one piece.
