1 cze 2023 · Delta basic economy & baggage? I am interested in carrying an empty suitcase of 60 linear inches on my basic economy fare. I realized the fee is $30. I do not have Delta CC. I have a few non-Delta cards and unsure if they reimburse such fees. What options are there? Should I explore shipping my empty bag via UPS or something like that?
1 kwi 2024 · The Delta baggage weight limit is 50 pounds per bag for passengers booked in basic economy, Main Cabin and Premium Select and 70 pounds per bag for passengers flying in Delta One or first class. Additionally, passengers with Delta Medallion elite status have a 70-pound weight limit per bag before they face extra fees.
There is also an option to pay for the bag with miles - seems 3k? I researched to see if other fares, eg first class, get free check ins - the link below does not mention about checked baggage fees: https://cwsi.net/delta.htm

Basic economy provides a lower-priced fare but places restrictions or fees on seat assignment, upgrades, changes and — for some destinations — checked baggage. Also, since early 2022, basic economy flights no longer earn Delta miles.
