12 gru 2018 · This paper examines a blended learning model designed to support women returning to STEM after a career break and its delivery in a unique partnership between an online distance education provider and a community-based equality organisation.
A key trend, however, is that women are leading the way – and by a large margin – when it comes to taking up distance learning courses. Each quarter, we capture and analyse our student enrolment figures and data suggests that 80% of our students are female.
21 sty 2022 · Online learning is poised to become the educational norm, and research has proven that its structure is advantageous to women. Online courses offer female students more opportunities to build confidence, exhibit subject mastery, and establish a sense of belonging with their peers.
Distance learning may also allow women to pursue their education while still taking care of their families and outside work. In order to get a better idea of how distance learning impacts women, I discuss several studies that examine how distance learning affects women in particular.
