I have chosen to book a few non-refundable hotel deals with Expedia as the prices were very good, and I was completely sure I would not need to change my plans, as non-refundable means just that. I also had Travel Insurance in the unlikely event something happened.
I have a question about discount rate on Hotwire deals( hot deals(?)). I booked a room(5-Star) with stated price of $2,400 and paid $200 with 90% discount rate through Hotwire. Does this mean I will be getting a luxury room? Could the stated price outrageously be overprieced? Thank you.
WE had never used hotwire ( mostly expedia, southwest). We fly from raleigh nc to las vegas every year or so and this time while searching i found the best deal on hotwire so i signed up and booked it.

We are looking for a cheap getaway in November and we are considering booking the 4 star hot deal offered by hotwire and we are wondering if anyone has ever done this and is it really a good deal or can we find the same on another site while being able to pick where we stay?
23 maj 2024 · Earlier this year, I booked an airport hotel through Hotwire. At the time I booked, Hotwire was considerably cheaper than direct or through other OTA's. But over time, the prices started to drop via the other channels.
Hotwire has no interest in an unhappy customer...who have given me a hotel in a seedy part of town, that has the wrong star rating. Their responses to me have all been generic, and they clearly have no interest in good customer service.
