While some of that is due to living in a CO hub, I find them to be dependable and typically slightly more customer friendly that the other major carriers.

I wanted to share that I recently had a very positive service experience with Continental Airlines. I used their website, phoned their reservations agent, and as a result, joined their air miles program.
I know there are those who prefer Continental over other airlines, and I had read about how they're one of the best US-based carriers. This was in 2007 when I suppose they were still getting great reviews about how nice the inflight service was. Thus, I was quite enthusiastic to fly them from SFO via Newark to Rome.
