5 lis 2017 · After the most recent Windows 10 update that I remember (within the last week or two), my photo app is no longer working -- when I click on it, it tries to open and then says "This app can't open" and directs me to the store. I reinstall and of course it still does not work.

If you are on Windows 10 Creators Update (build 14997 or later), you need to navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Step 2: Look for the Calculator app entry. Select the Calculator app by clicking or tapping on it.

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. Find the Windows Store Apps option and click it. Click Run the troubleshooter.

If simply closing the Photos app doesn’t fix the issue, its background process might still be running. Follow the steps below to fully restart the Photos app.
