The park features a large play field, shaded picnic groves, lake and river fishing access, a swimming pool, Trailside Museums and Zoo, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails. An outdoor rink is open to ice skaters from late October through mid-March.

7 gru 2022 · BEAR MOUNTAIN – The Palisades Interstate Park Commission has announced that the Bear Mountain Ice Rink is now open for the 2022-23 season. All are welcome for a fantastic experience skating at the rink voted Best of the Hudson Valley in 2021!
Bear Mountain State Park is a 5,205-acre (21.06 km 2) state park located on the west bank of the Hudson River in Rockland and Orange counties, New York. [2] [5] The park offers biking, hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming, cross-country skiing, cross-country running, sledding and ice skating.
PARK INFORMATION. Following a severe rain event on July 9th, 2023 many Bear Mountain Hiking Trails remain closed. However several parts of the park have reopened, including all three entrances to the park, the picnic grounds, Inn, Carousel and the paddle boats at Hessian Lake. The Bear Mountain Inn, restaurant, bar, hiker’s café and spa are open.
