13 maj 2008 · First try a reset... Put the hold switch to the OFF/White position. Now toggle it ON/orange then back off again. Then press and hold both the MENU and center buttons on the iPod and hold them for a good 15 seconds or so. Your iPod should reboot starting with the Apple Logo screen.

4 mar 2009 · I own an iPod Nano 4th Generation and its center and menu button will not work. I have tried restoring it, and that doesn't work. I have also tried pressing the buttons repeatedly at a fast speed, still no response.
12 sty 2024 · If a button or switch isn't working on your iPhone or iPad, here are a few steps that might fix the issue. If they don't, you'll need to set up a repair. Remove any protective films or cases that might block the button or switch.
1 cze 2010 · Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. the point is - does the iPod reset or not - if yes - then the menu button is not the problem.
16 sty 2014 · The menu button is not working on my iPod Nano. I cannot get back from anywhere. Once I have seleceted a track to play, the menu button does not work so that I cannot get back to all music or to choose other options such as radio. It does not make a click sound. It works occaisionally (once a week).
If you are unable to restore your iPod using iTunes, you can hard reset your iPod. iPod Nanos can be hard reset by booting while holding the menu and play/pause buttons. This should result in a quick dark screen followed by the standard Apple boot graphic.
4 mar 2013 · For iPhone it is easy to fix as you can just replace a small cable. For this iPod this is all I could find, doesn't look to promising but helpful if you're good with small parts. A temporarily fix is to insert a very small piece of paper in between the cable and lock button after taking iPod apart.
