On Friday 4/30, we visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. This is a fantastic museum with 4 or 5 hangars filled with airplanes and other types of aircraft. You should give yourself a good majority of the day to go thru all the exhibits in this museum.

The National Museum of the US Air Force is a treasure worth an entire day for anyone with the energy to take it all in. We wimped out at 6 hours, but what a great 6 hours! The aircraft are fabulous and so well displayed within the context of their place in history. Each hanger is devoted to a different era of aircraft history.
Incredible museum covering all aspects of Aviation, with a replica of the Wright Brother's plane to the German rocket assisted bombs and all the planes of WWII to modern day F22 and competitor advanced fighter jets from Boeing and Northrop. Plus it is 'Free', and a well justified expenditure of U.S. taxpayer $.
