This is a list representing time zones by country. Countries are ranked by total number of time zones on their territory. Time zones of a country include that of dependent territories (except Antarctic claims ). France, including its overseas territories, has the most time zones with 12 (13 including its claim in Antarctica ).
All the observed world time zones are listed by country (or territory) in the table below. There are independent states with multiple time zones, and the record-holder is France with 12 zones, but 11 of them are used in overseas areas and only one in the country's mainland.
