13 maj 2024 · The 11 meter band is used by both CB radio, as well as freeband unlicensed hobbyists, Church radio broadcasts in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe, the military, for studio-to-transmitter links (STLs), data links, buoys, fishnet tracking systems, pagers and other non-voice purposes .

Freeband 11 Meter Frequencies and Bands. While some export radios – sold as 10 meter radios – often cover frequencies above and below the 25.615-28.305 MHz range, that is the de facto “standard” export band alphanumeric plan. Generally the CB band is band “D” or the “mid band”.
Freebanding refers to operating on the frequencies above and below the legal CB band, as well as operating "in-between" the legal CB channels (for example, operating on 27.380 MHz or 27.400 MHz). This is often practiced by SSB CB operators to find a clear frequency.

By far the most active ranges in North America are 43 meters (6800-7000 kHz), 46 meters (6200-6400 kHz) and 73 meters (4000-4200 kHz), with some activity in the 60 meter band (4700-5300 kHz) as well.
