The Ohio Board of Nursing regulates more than 300,000 licenses and certificates for registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), dialysis technicians (DTs), community health workers (CHWs) and medication aides (MA-Cs).

Beginning January 1, 2023, Ohio will join the NLC. All new RN/LPN applicants who meet eligibility requirements may apply for a multi-state license (MSL) in Ohio. Ohio nurses with MSLs will be authorized to practice in other participating NLC states.
