At the setup wizard, adding a gmail account will find all calendars, contacts, email, associated with the account. And there will be 0Auth popups to confirm... This works correctly, calendars appear, contacts sync.
So I don't know why Thunderbird makes syncing so complex and most tutorials on the internet requires you to install a 3rd party add-on, while there's a way to do it without any. 1- Go to Google Calender and sign in.
