I picked what looked like a good deal with Skyscanner, then flightcatcher that seemed to have good reviews. All looked ok until I received a phone call from them saying if we wanted to sit together, then I had to pay some £320 more and if I didn’t agree today then I couldn’t book together.
I often use Skyscanner to find flights for sometimes complex business travels. The connections provided are most of the time complete and always accurate at time of search. I won't use the suggested booking portals anymore after bad experience with some of them, e.g. with Cheaptickets.

28 gru 2023 · Skyscanner is a legit company and a great place to find cheap flights and other travel deals. Just be aware that it does not offer direct bookings, and do your research on any third-party sites it may direct you to.
Look out for emails from email addresses that are not using Skyscanner company domains e.g. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, usa.com, etc. Be vigilant about ads promoted on social media (particularly Facebook and Instagram) that offer cheap flights and collect your contact details.
