18 sty 2022 · CHICAGO, Jan. 18, 2022 — The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) today launched Fare Programs Online, a web-based online customer portal that allows people with disabilities and seniors to apply for, replace, and renew Reduced Fare and Ride Free Permits.
You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to qualify for a license plate discount or ride free transit card. However, you must have a Social Security number to fill out a Benefit Access Application. In the case of a married couple both individuals must have their own Social Security number.
RTA Reduced Fare and Ride Free Permit Card. The RTA Reduced Fare Permit card allows older adults, ages 65 or older, qualified people with disabilities and Medicare recipients to ride all fixed-route services, including Metra trains, Pace buses, and CTA buses and trains, at a reduced rate.
