You must first apply for a driving test and then wait for your invitation to book an appointment. To apply for your driving test, please sign up or log in to our MyRoadSafety.ie customer portal. The video below will show you how.
Car Re-Test applicants will get another booking invitation 10 weeks after their unsuccessful test. This may be longer in some centres. If you received an invitation but didn’t book, you can rejoin the invitation queue by viewing your waiting list application status within the portal.

If you have an upcoming driving test appointment but you do not have a valid NCT, you need to cancel your driving test through the MyRoadSafety portal. You can reschedule your test twice without losing your fee, once you give at least 10 days’ notice.
