The function takes a GRanges as input and returns an IRangesList of the same length, each element ( IRanges) providing the coordinates within the respective protein’s sequence.
By finding recombination frequencies for many gene pairs, we can make linkage maps that show the order and relative distances of the genes on the chromosome.
