L.A.M.C. Section 151.00 requires all owners whose rental units are subject to the Rent Stabilization Ordinance to register their rental units with the Rent Stabilization Division. No landlord shall demand or accept rent until such registration has been obtained. Contact the Division at 866-557-RENT [7368].
Design your project and draw plans. Submit plans and complete a permit application at an LADBS office. Note: If your project falls under any of the construction types in Express Permit (pdf), you do not need your plans checked. You may complete a permit application at an LADBS office or online.
Get Your Permit Online. Online Permits are for small projects that do not require plan check. Refer to the Express Permit Information Bulletin PDF to see if your project qualifies for Online Permit.
