I was sent a text from someone asking to interview me for a job position with Hopper which I applied to on indeed but the options were Skype or WhatsApp. But I feel like it’s a scam.
Hopper is a scam. I elected the option to pay $19 per room per day for breakfast. Then when I arrived at the hotel staff never heard of it. After 3 phone calls to a variety of unintelligible (although courteous) support reps, they basically just said too bad.
No, not a scam. Just a company out to make money and which requires you to pay attention, read everything to click or un-click things and make sure you only buy what you need. I guess that can apply to just about every commercial site on the internet.
In terms of how to deal with ticket floggers such as the Hopper site, the advice is not to use them at all. Reliable third party sites such as Expedia can be useful but the Hopper site, ovago.com, eDreams, kiwi.com, travelgenio, and others aren't worth the time needed to read the websites.
