17 wrz 2020 · Having updated to ios14, I can no longer send selected photos via email without them becoming embedded. This is highly frustrating and extremely inconvenient. Previously, the option to ‘Save all attachments’ was a simple and efficient method of transferring to, and storing multiple photos within specific folders on my laptop.

4 mar 2022 · The photos show up in outlook in the body of the email, not as an attachment (which is what I need). You can receive photos in that format from other mailing software like outlook or gmail. The problem is with IOS, starting with version 14.
23 wrz 2020 · Since the ios14 update when I now email photos from my iPhone using either my work outlook or personal GMAIL addresses they are now sent embedded in the email message and not as jpeg attachments to the email. Why is this and how do I fix it or what settings can be changed, if any?

By default, if you attach an image in Gmail, it will be embedded into the body of the email. However, you can attach the image by double-tapping it instead, then choosing ‘Send as attachment’. Once you have done this, check if the image in your email will now be attached and not embedded.

I figured this out! Select the image through the attachment option, then long press the in-line image. From the black formatting list that pops up, scroll to the right and select “send as attachment”.
