12 lip 2024 · Rabies is usually spread to humans through a bite, scratch, or the saliva of an unvaccinated animal. Rabies will often give you flu-like symptoms, such as a fever, headache, and body aches. If you’ve been bitten or scratched, you may experience an itching or prickling sensation around the wound.
Rabies is a viral zoonotic disease that causes progressive and fatal inflammation of the brain and spinal cord. Clinically, it has two forms: Furious rabies – characterized by hyperactivity and hallucinations. Paralytic rabies – characterized by paralysis and coma.
