30 maj 2024 · If your reservation was a Wanna Get Away or Wanna Get Away Plus reservation, you can get a refund in the form of a flight credit or a Transferable Flight Credit. You can choose how to receive your refund when you change or cancel your reservation.
Most flights can be changed or canceled through our website or the Southwest app without needing to call. Look for the Manage Reservations option on our website or app, pull up your reservation, and then tap or click either the Change or Cancel option.

I've run into some uncertainty in other areas of the trip and realized my plane ticket wasn't refundable, so I was considering upgrading from Wanna Get Away to Anytime in case I needed to cancel my flight and catch one with another airline.
25 maj 2024 · If you book a Wanna Get Away or Wanna Get Away Plus fare and cancel within 10 minutes of your flight's original scheduled departure, you'll forfeit your fare. However, suppose you cancel an Anytime and Business Select fare less than 10 minutes before the flight's original scheduled departure time.
10 sie 2023 · What’s Changing. Coming soon, we’re adding two new benefits to our fares, including making same-day standby a benefit for Customers traveling on Wanna Get Away ® fares and introducing a capability for Customers to list for standby online or the Southwest app.
With the exception of A-List Preferred and A-List Members, Customers who purchase Wanna Get Away fares are not eligible for free same-day change. Same-day standby: You can list for same-day standby on an earlier flight via a Southwest Customer Service Agent at the airport or the Southwest app or mobile web.
