25 kwi 2019 · My primary desire in finding an aircraft - a 'mission' if you will - would be a roomy cross country aircraft capable of flying from, say, Fort Lauderdale to Denver with only one stop as fast as possible, with 3 to 4 grown adults with full bags - and here's the tricky part - with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) possible.
My first pick would be a M20J. You can occasionally find them around 80k and of course you've got every glass panel option available to you (Skyview, G500, G3x, etc). You can pull the power way back and do 130kts at 6gph or push it forward and do about 155kts around 10gph. Excellent plane.
