While the appliances are rated in Btu, the gas code tables list the size of piping in cubic feet per hour (cfh). So you’ll have to convert each Btu input rating to cubic feet of gas before sizing the distribution piping. You can assume that each cubic foot of natural gas releases 1,000 Btu per hour.
