Along with most of the airlines that have 777s in their fleets, Air France decided to cram a 10th seat in each row of economy, squeezing out more revenue from each flight -- and every economy passenger to the maximum.

A hot meal was served after takeoff, which included chicken with rice, a quinoa salad, a bread roll, a piece of cheddar cheese, and a small chocolate sponge cake (the other choice was Asian noodles).
However, the premium economy seats offer wider seats, more legroom, fewer seats across the cabin, bigger headrests, reading lamps on those adjustable poles, water bottle holders and drink trays between the seats.
