You can use that space for your iCloud backups, to keep your photos and videos stored in iCloud Photos, to keep your documents up to date in iCloud Drive, and more.
Check your iCloud storage on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [ your name ] > iCloud. The bar graph shows your overall storage usage. Tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage for more details.
