13 wrz 2021 · ICAP implemented the first LePHIA survey in 2016-17. Conducted in over 9,600 households across Lesotho, the survey offered HIV counseling and testing with immediate return of results, HIV viral load testing, and collected information on the uptake of HIV care and treatment services.
17 sie 2021 · It demonstrates that Lesotho has achieved the first of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets and has exceeded the second and third 90 targets. These findings position the country well as it aims to achieve the revised and more ambitious UNAIDS targets of 95-95-95 by 2025.
ICAP is providing technical assistance and support to Lesotho’s Ministry of Health (MOH) to conduct a population-based HIV impact assessment to evaluate HIV prevalence, incidence, and access to prevention, care, and treatment services.
ICAP’s current portfolio focuses on strengthening Lesotho’s health systems at a national level and supporting HIV and tuberculosis (TB) care and treatment programs in the four districts of districts of Berea, Leribe, Quthing, and Qacha’s Nek.
17 sie 2021 · The first Lesotho Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (LePHIA) was conducted between November 2016 and May 2017 to measure the status of the national HIV response. The survey team visited over 10,000 households, interviewed participants, and provided HIV counseling and testing.
