Most cams are ground with some amount of advance, so to get a straight-up installation, you would have to retard the cam. However, without verifying where the cam is installed, by checking/degreeing, advancing or retarding a cam is simply an exercise to brag about.

4 mar 2019 · Yes advancing the cam will make more cylinder pressure. It will also reduce your piston to valve clearance on the intake valve. How much for every degree advanced, can't tell you. I am lazy, I use an engine program that calculates dynamic compression and cranking compression, its fairly accurate.
