Iberia is as good as any other Europe airline and is a 4 star flytrax company. Only 11 world airlines have 5 stars and none are in the Americas and only one barely makes it in Europe. They are pragmatic and don’t offer you the thrills of Asian airlines but are way cleaner and have better food than most American companies.
Experience with Iberia? I’m looking into booking a trip to Spain this spring. After a lot of manual searching, I was able to find some flights I’m interested in on Iberia. They seem to have the best value for point redemption. However, their reviews are terrible.
Russia is more than Siberia and the Finnish border, and Iberia is more than the Mediterranean beaches and the Tabernas Desert. That there are points of Iberia colder than points of Russia or even most of Russia at a given time, or vice versa, shouldn't be that surprising.
I’ve never flown Iberia but I generally have a favorable view of European flag carriers. International experience (originating in the US) has mostly been US legacy with a few Qantas, Emirates, and Air France sprinkled here and there.
