Applying for an EIN is a free service offered by the Internal Revenue Service. Businesses can apply for an EIN by phone, fax, mail, or online. In New York State, businesses with employees must also register with the NYS Department of Labor after receiving their EIN online.
In accordance with Chancellor’s Regulation A-801 (see below for regulation with translations) , the DOE provides transportation to all eligible New York City students in public, charter, and non-public schools.

The New York City Department of Education (DOE) recognizes the significant impact school transportation plays in a student’s day at school; in accordance with Chancellor’s Regulation A-801, students and, where applicable, their families have the following rights to ensure students arrive to school safe and ready to learn.
