19 lip 2021 · As of August 9, 2021, new measures will be put in place for travellers to Canada, including international students. This includes the following: Eliminating the 3-night government-authorized hotel stay requirement for all air travellers arriving after 12:01 a.m. EDT on August 9, 2021.
Upon arrival at the Canadian port of entry (typically an airport for non-US travellers), these international students may be permitted entry to Canada and be issued their study permit following an examination by Canada Border Services Agency as long as they satisfy the Border Services Officer that they have met entry requirements.
Return or travel to Canada. For all travellers entering Canada by air, land or marine mode: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required. Pre-board testing is not required. COVID-19 pre-entry and arrival tests are not required. Quarantine after you enter Canada is not required.

American citizens, including American-Canadian citizens, must carry proper identification and meet the basic requirements to enter Canada. You do not need a Canadian passport, a Canadian visa or an eTA to enter Canada if you are travelling with a valid U.S. passport.
