12 kwi 2015 · I have a desktop pc and as soon as I bought the game I unlocked 25 tiles. I did this because this allows a realistic city of small to medium size. My computer doesn't know the difference between 9 or 25 tiles. I'm very anxious to have 81 which is more realistic but I'll wait for the bugs to be worked out.
A Cities: Skylines mod. Expands the playable area to the full 81 map tiles (instead of the inner 25), with additional supporting functionality including 'no pipes' and 'no powerlines'. For more detail, and for Steam binaries, see the mod's Steam Workshop page.

12 wrz 2022 · Overview. A rewrite of the old '81 tiles' mod to increase performance and resolve bugs. Enables unlocking (and building on) all map tiles, not just the 25 in the middle. Includes optional Remove Need for Power Lines, Remove Need for Pipes, and Cross the Line functionality.
There are tons of building mods for Cities: Skylines that can bring color to any city. Whether you’re looking to add some restaurants, parks, sporting arenas, or pretty much anything else you can think of.
You can unlock the 81 tiles normally, or press Shift + U to unlock all at once (Game will freeze awhile, doesn't seem to work if a lot of tiles are already unlocked). Known Issues: Water overlay is rendered with funny edges, this probably can't be fixed.
