Osmosis is a highly capable utility program for performing many tasks at a raw level on OSM data. This includes data import and export to databases, sorting, cleaning, and creating data dumps. All of the documentation I've found is very much about contributing new raw data, but there's not much of a beginners guide on using OSM /data/ that I've been able to find. Do I need to set up my own PostGIS and map server to be able to embed maps in my application?
