The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) was conceived in early 1993 by Emmy Award winning television producer/director Joseph Consentino who dreamed of forming a summer collegiate league to bridge the gap between the New York based Atlantic Collegiate League and the Cape Cod League.
