The deadline for Regular Action is January 4. We accept test results from any test taken before December 31. We will also accept English language proficiency test scores for RA applicants through the January test dates.
We oversee the application process for students applying for first-year and transfer undergraduate admissions. We try to explain our process , help you understand what we’re looking for , and think about how to prepare for MIT.
The deadline to submit the application is October 15 for spring entry and March 15 for fall entry. International students are eligible for fall entry only. Testing requirements are outlined in detail on the Transfer deadlines & requirements page of the admissions website.
First-year application: The first-year application is for those planning to enter college in the fall of 2024 who have not matriculated to another degree-granting institution. Transfer application: The transfer application is intended for students who will have completed at least one year of college/university before entering MIT.
Undergraduate Admissions & Aid. All prospective undergraduate students apply through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, regardless of their intended program of study.
