Falcon Stadium is an outdoor football stadium in the western United States, on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is the home field of the Air Force Falcons football and lacrosse teams of the Mountain West Conference, and also holds the academy's graduation ceremonies each spring.
4 lis 2021 · The Air Force Academy has engaged with architecture firm HKS to design a $70M renovation of Falcon Stadium. The biggest changes would see the venue add 1,200 enclosed premium seats on the east side of the seating bowl, facing the Rocky Mountains, while sacrificing about 5,000 bench seats.
The stadium was originally built solely for football, but several non-athletic events, such as the Academy’s annual graduation, are conducted there. Since 1962, the stadium has seen several significant upgrades. In 1991, the Academy installed nine skyboxes and remodeled the existing press box.
