If you absolutely need to be running on a server to speedrun RFW, then we can make a rule stating that you should do it on a server. But for vanilla speedruns and most Custom map speedruns we only allow singleplayer.
My best tip is that if you want to speedrun a recent version you should use 1.16.1. When you're bartering gold to piglins you'll get roughly 4x as many pearls in 1.16.1 as you would in 1.16.2 and up. Pearl bartering is by far the fastest way to get enderpearls, especially if you get your gold by routing a bastion or an ocean monument.
