You will be close to major cities like New York and Philadelphia and within driving distance of popular tourist spots like the beaches and the New England fall beauty.
I would say the #1 advantage boston has over the other 3 is proximity to quality mountains/lakes and beaches and the ease of getting in and out of the city by car and to those places.
