Step 1 iPod Touch 4th Generation Blank Screen. Ground the the battery terminal indicated by the screwdriver. Ground the dock connector. Step 2. Touch battery terminal 3 and the dock connector metal with the metal part of a screw driver. This should short the battery and restore the iPod. Step 3. Reattach the screen.
