20 kwi 2015 · Whenever I try to arm the track, I get this message: Quote: The track could not be record-enabled because it doesn't have both an active input and output assigned. I looked through Google results and quite a few posts on these forums and none of the answers seem to apply or at least don't work.
There is an input and output section on your audio track. If you'd like to record something on that track you need to make sure the thing you want to record is selected as the input. For instance ...
This has nothing to do with your IO. You have to set the input and output of the track to be able to record enable it. I recommend watching a PT basics tutorial.
To record enable audio tracks, the Transport must be stopped, or QuickPunch must be enabled. For more information on QuickPunch, see “Record Modes” on page 229. From either the Mix or Edit window, click the track’s Record Enable button to toggle record enable on or off for the track.
24 wrz 2007 · I'm I having a problem right now in Pro Tools. I can't turn ON the record enable buttons on a any track. When I try it states "The Track could not be record-enabled because it doesn't have both an active input and output assigned." I have my AKG mic connected to the Mbox2 Mini, and the Mbox connected to my computer.
13 paź 2012 · Sounds to me like you're using "independent monitoring levels". That means you have two different monitoring levels: one to use for regular playback, one to use when the track is record enabled.
8 lip 2023 · I am getting getting signal in audio activity but no signal reading in meters next to track. when i press record there is no audio being recorded just a flat line. interface appears to be loaded correctly and has been selected in studio connections. what am i missing?
