Mischief Brew Bio. In June of 2000, after spending four years screaming in a punk band called The Orphans, Erik Petersen confined himself to a basement with an acoustic guitar, a rickety drum kit, a mandolin, and a four-track to stir a bunch of ideas together into a stew of songs.

15 lip 2016 · Erik Petersen of Mischief Brew passed away recently. Mischief Brew was preparing for a European tour and had released This is Not for Children in 2015 via Alternative Tentacles. Petersen became interested in punk rock as a teenager. After playing in high school bands, he formed The Orphans, his first band to release an official studio recording.

Outside the library/venue, young kids wearing the standard-issue punk patches smoke cigarettes and swig from bottles hidden by paper bags.
