Re: Is it better to by flights direct or through a travel agent? 3 years ago. In simple terms, book with the airline directly always, and especially in these uncertain times. However, booking a package with an airline's holiday department or a reputable supplier can give you even more protection.
Indeed, the direct TAP option shows I can go "Full Executive" which is refundable, changeable, extra luggage etc, is 1256 Euro or $1494. I'm not seeing any reason to go the Travelgenio route, nor any other agent via Skyscanner.
Do I get more protection buying direct or through a travel agent? Obviously I am hoping travel has returned to some normality by then, but what if it hasn’t....Not doing a package as was going to use Airbnb.

21 kwi 2024 · Agents can sometimes offer flight combinations that airlines don’t offer on their own websites, especially when multiple carriers and/or codeshares are involved. As mentioned above, along as the booking is all on one ticket, it would be ok to book through an agent.
