Undergraduate Returners for 2024-2025: The housing application process for the residence halls for the 2024-2025 academic year is open. Priority registration has closed. You will receive an email to your CMICH account by Monday, July 1st with instructions to complete your housing selection.
Welcome home to Residence Life at Central Michigan University. When you live on campus, you become an empowered citizen who can responsibly impact your community. The Office of Residence Life includes the following units: Facilities Operations, Care Advocate Program, Central Office in Ronan Hall and Residential Education.
Residence Halls. CMU has 21 coed residence halls in four residential communities. Each Community offers a Student Success Center, where student service professionals work as a team to help residents become successful students. This team includes an Academic Advisor, a Care Advocate, and a Success Coach.
As a freshman, you can choose a traditional residence life experience or join a Living Learning Community and live among fellow CMU Chippewas with similar academic interests, goals or achievements. Our residency policy requires first and second-year students live on campus (see exceptions).
