14 sty 2024 · The Capital One “Approve Your Payment Now” scam is a phishing scam where targets receive a fraudulent email claiming that a payment needs approval for their Capital One account. The email includes a link to a fake Capital One login page that steals user’s sensitive information.
12 sie 2023 · The spam email with the subject "Action Required: New Pending E-payment on Your Account" (may vary) is presented as a "security message" from Capital One. The letter notifies that an incoming payment is pending on the recipient's account.
Business email compromise. The scammer may impersonate a company executive by hacking their email ID to send you a spoofed email requesting a change in the payment destination. Don’t click on anything in an unsolicited email or text message asking you to update or verify account information.
