3 dni temu · The TIME function in Excel is a useful tool for manipulating and working with time values. It allows you to create time entries by specifying the hour, minute, and second components. The syntax for the TIME function is pretty straightforward: =TIME (hour, minute, second).
In cell B3, type the formula = (B2-B1)*24. The result is 31.5 hours. Excel can calculate how many hours and minutes (the amount of time) it will take to complete two tasks. It can also take the start and end times for a task and calculate the elapsed time, which is the difference between the two times.
Use the TIME function in Excel to add or subtract hours, minutes and seconds. To add up times in Excel, simply use the SUM function.
If you want to calculate the time difference between the two time-values in only the number of hours or minutes or seconds, then you can use the dedicated HOUR, MINUTE, or SECOND function. Each of these functions takes one single argument, which is the time value, and returns the specified time unit.
