31 maj 2010 · The following tutorial discusses the steps needed to install BLAST+ and a sample NCBI database on PCs running Windows 10 Operating System.
1. Installation. 32-bit Windows. NCBI Blast+ 2.3.0 or later does not support 32-bit Windows. Even though 64-bit NCBI Blast+ will not start on 32-bit Windows, it can be installed on 32-bit Windows because of the lack of the OS version check function.
The NCBI provides a suite of command-line tools to run BLAST called BLAST+. This allows users to perform BLAST searches on their own server without size, volume and database restrictions. BLAST+ can be used with a command line so it can be integrated directly into your workflow.
